Welcome to Girl on the Move!  At the heart of Girl on the Move is my desire…

To create a community of people inspired to live healthy lives, chase big dreams and step out of their comfort zone to explore new adventures and places.  I am committed to inspiring each and every one of my readers and love hearing stories of how my readers have been inspired.

I fully believe…

Inspiration to live life as fully as possible. A community of people inspired to live healthy lives, chase big dreams and step out of their comfort zone to try new things and visit new places.I’m Julie and I was born and raised in Southern California. I took my first road trip before my 2nd birthday and the road trips just kept coming and pretty soon I was hooked on the adventure of exploring new places. My parents deserve a lot of credit for so many hours in the car with three children who were probably not angels the whole time (well I was of course but my siblings are another story!)

I went to college and loved living around family, friends, and my extended community. But my heart has always craved new adventures and so at the age of 22 (when I knew everything there was to know about everything) I packed up all of my belongings into a U-Haul and my dad and I drove to Philadelphia where I knew a grand total of ZERO people for me to begin my next adventure.

And what an adventure it was!

After seven years I decided I wasn’t sure that I still loved shoveling snow so I once again packed everything up and headed back to Southern California and settled at the beach. But I continued traveling, exploring and taking new adventures. I have taken well over 100,000 miles of road trips, have become an expert at airport security, have laced up my running shoes in 20+ states, and stopped by more than 100 cupcake shops around the country.

I continue to chase big dreams and find new ways to step outside my comfort zone and look forward to sharing those with you here on the blog.

I’d love to connect with you!  My favorite places to hang out are Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook!

  1. Looks like we have a few things in common. I’m a teacher for now and I also am a Thirty One consultant. I’ll also be moving to California in a few short months. Enjoy reading your posts – especially the meal plans!

  4. Hi Julie,

I love your blog! I just stumbled upon it on Linked In and it’s so good! And, I love that you are from Orange County. I grew up in Monarch Bay, but now live in Northern California 🙂 I noticed on your profile you are in the Lifestyle Blogging space. You have a very impressive resume. Congrats on a fantastic career thus far.

I am actively networking with like minded women in this space about our Stylist opportunity as you may be an excellent fit for my company.

We’re looking for reps/leaders in the Orange County market & beyond. We are a Lifestyle brand called Stella & Dot selling boutique accessories & apparel to the tune of $300 Million in revenues per year. Have you heard of us?

About me…I am married with three kids and have a background in event planning. In 2007 I opened a retail boutique and during that time I learned of Stella & Dot. I started as a stylist to raise money for causes near and dear to my heart, but now, I am lucky enough to call this my full time job. My passion now is helping women earn flexible income while being a Mom first and foremost.

I wondered if you were interested in learning more?

Thanks again for accepting my invitation to connect.
