31 Days to Create a Social Media Plan
Happy Friday y’all! I can’t believe that September is almost over but I’m okay with that reality because these next three months are my favorite time of year (outside of my birthday week of course!). These three months will be filled with pumpkins, family, crafting, beautiful runs, delicious cupcakes, some traveling, and just all-around goodness. Today, I’m excited to share some fun updates and a giveaway with y’all!
A few weeks ago another blogger shared a 31-day writing challenge she was going to be doing during the month of October and I knew right away that I wanted to participate…I just wasn’t sure what topic I wanted to cover. I did a lot of brainstorming and thinking about what would be most helpful to me, what other people might also find helpful, and what I thought could fill 31 posts. And so I decided to write about…
Social media is a topic I am very passionate about and I don’t think it is only an applicable topic to bloggers! So I am really excited to share what I’ve learned, what I’ve experienced, and tools to help you create a social media plan.
Who will benefit from following this 31-day writing challenge…
-Small business owners
-Direct sales consultants
-Anyone who wants to learn more about social media
The 31 Days to Create a Social Media Plan will include…
-Why you should have a social media plan
-Pros and cons of various social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and more
-General social media tips
-Creating a brand on social media
-Printables for creating the actual plan
And don’t worry, if you have no interest in social media I’ll still be publishing some of the regular stuff here on the blog…Training Thursdays, Be Inspired posts, a few Links I’m Loving and more!
If you are interested in following this challenge sign up with your email address below! You’ll receive one email each day with the Social Media Plan post for the day so that by the end of the month you should be ready to roll out your very own social media plan! Trust me, you’ll want to stay updated with this series! And share this post with any friends, coworkers, family members, or readers who might also be interested in this!
And now onto the giveaway!
I am so excited to be partnering with Krystal over at Krystal’s Kitsch for this awesome giveaway! Seriously y’all…the Google Hangouts alone make this worth it! And here’s the great part, I get to give away one spot in this group for FREE! Enter via the Rafflecopter below!
If you’re participating in the 31 Day Writing Challenge, what is your topic? What questions do you have about social media that you want me to be sure to include during the 31 days?
good idea! I am off to check it out! I am sure many of us could benefit, and I love writing challenges! Thanks for bringing it to my attention 🙂
Happy to share! I’m really excited for this writing challenge because it has helped me learn so much just in preparing my topics!
I love the ability to meet people from all around the world. Blogging opens so many doors.
I have no clue how to post pictures on instagram, the same for video on YouTube.
There will definitely be info on IG and YouTube!
Great challenge! I would love tips and strategies for managing my time to effectively use social media without spending 24 hours a day doing it. I hope you can help! Cheers!
I hope the series is helpful for you!
You decided to do it, awesome! Also, love that you’re doing it via email. SO smart!
I’ll be linking up and writing for 31 days! My first thought was there was no way I could write/post for 31 consecutive days on one topic. But I realized when I dug a little deeper there is a foundation from which I write (and live) . . . family. So I’m going to explore who my family is and how they’ve shaped me. Now I’m itching for October to get here to start posting and to start reading other people’s posts.
I can’t wait to read your posts on family!
I have always had writing anxiety, but I have always loved to journal. Blogging was a way to making my writing and public, and in turn has helped me overcome writing anxiety in other formats. I used to dread writing, and now I look forward to it as a way to communicate and build community. That’s my favorite thing about blogging!

This sounds great!
The best part of blogging is the sharing and connecting with like-minded people!
I love all the awesome people I get to meet through blogging, plus it gives me a creative outlet and some me-time! And I can’t wait to participate in the social media plan – I would love to get everything more streamlined and not feel so stretched thin between all the different outlets.

I mainly blog about food and recipes, but I blog every other day, not every day. There’s not enough time to create all those dishes, edit pictures, and write a post. But I love the idea of creating a social media plan. I feel that social media is very important in connecting with other bloggers as well as your readers.
I Love being able to voice my opinions.

I love the idea of making a social media plan, in fact I was just starting to re-work mine.
Can’t wait for the social media tips!!

This sounds so awesome! I really want to get my blog on Facebook and it’s always a challenge to better on Twitter. I just signed up, looking forward to learning a lot! #SITSBlogging
I’m in. I remembered reading this post and forgot to add it to my reading list and searched all over for it and found it again. So glad I did. Thanks.
We finished FPU by Dave Ramsey in May and have picked and chooses what to implement in our financial planning. But, that changes today. I want to be debt free in the next 4 years….so I need to get going. Stopping by from SITS.
My favorite thing about blogging is getting to express myself with no restrictions. I can write about whatever I want whenever I want. My blog is mine & only mine
Very awesome! I’m interested in reading more. I feel like I spend about 60% of my blogging time on social media – promoting blog posts, networking and such. It feels like so much! I wish I could find a way to be more efficient and get more writing time 🙂

My favorite part of blogging is meeting other bloggers. Commiserating with those who have similar stories and learning from those with vastly different ones.

I can not tell you how much I am looking forward to following you through this challenge. The thought of actually developing a social media plan actually makes me super excited. Oh to have a clear outline of what I’m doing on my social media sites.
Corey @ Tinysidekick
What I love most about blogging is the creative outlet and “hanging out” with other creative people! Can’t wait to read more to get some ideas to get this whole social media thing under control!
Love the writing idea and can’t wait to see what you do with it. What I love most about blogging is being creative in a way the inspires and helps others. I like to think I’m contributing to something bigger than myself. Like what you’re doing here! 🙂
Community is SO important to me in blogging 🙂
I couldn’t wait for the giveaway so i just signed up for the Bloggers Get Social!! Really looking on expanding my blog and meeting others who can help influence me.. Also looking forward to your 31 days!! Thank you so much for your post, I’m really excited about the next month!
I love blogging because it’s my way of helping others and sharing my thoughts and opinions on various topics. One of my goals is to get more “behind the scenes” plans in place so blogging can still be fun without too much work.
I can’t wait for this series. I’m a new follower and have been thinking about my social media plan.
I am participating as part of Kate’s 5-minute writing project. I will be selecting a random word from my concordance and writing a five minute poem.
this is such a good idea! I love it, can’t wait to get my emails through!
I love sharing what I’m working on with clients and what sessions I have coming up
I love exploring photographers blogs and seeing all their creativity and how they are able to capture so much in just one shot!
I WISH I could do a 31 day writing challenge! Just finished a 5 day one and barely had time for that. Maybe someday? I’m IN for yours, though. Can’t wait to learn!
All signed up! My favorite part about blogging is the community and connecting with other wonderful people 🙂
Teresa @ Crafty Wife
I love the community! I have met so many wonderful people I never would’ve known without blogging!
Blogging has just been awesome – I don’t know if I can pick one favorite thing! I love the connections with other people.
I can’t wait to learn more about this topic! What I love most about blog ins is the friendships and connections you make purely by sharing your thoughts and passions through writing.
I love that I’ve gotten to know you through blogging and I am sooo excited for this series! It has been a lot of fun for me to work on putting together
Pam @ Hodge Podge Moments
My favorite thing about blogging is meeting new people. Social media is great for that, so I’m looking forward to this series!
Glad you’re looking forward to this series!
Well, I’m neutral about blogging, I’m a photographer and I basically use it to show my sessions and to blog about tips to plan a session, but I would definitely would like to make it bigger, thanks!

I think photographers can have a great social media and blogging presence…people are ALWAYS looking for photo tips and ideas!
How do you convert likes/followers to paying clients?
I would start with ads because you’re going to get paid for views (which come from your likes/followers). I would also suggest putting together a media kit and reaching out to brands and businesses to work with them.
Too bad, I think this should be over now. Will you let me know if you think of starting this again? Please. I would be very much interested..
I will definitely keep you posted!
Ooohhh!! Can’t wait to develop a social media plan!! I anticipate that this will help me as the president of a nonprofit, as a blogger, and as a small business owner.
I hope this is able to really help you out!
