31 Days to Create a Social Media Plan
Happy Friday y’all! I can’t believe that September is almost over but I’m okay with that reality because these next three months are my favorite time of year (outside of my birthday week of course!). These three months will be filled with pumpkins, family, crafting, beautiful runs, delicious cupcakes, some traveling, and just all-around goodness. Today, I’m excited to share some fun updates and a giveaway with y’all!
A few weeks ago another blogger shared a 31-day writing challenge she was going to be doing during the month of October and I knew right away that I wanted to participate…I just wasn’t sure what topic I wanted to cover. I did a lot of brainstorming and thinking about what would be most helpful to me, what other people might also find helpful, and what I thought could fill 31 posts. And so I decided to write about…
Social media is a topic I am very passionate about and I don’t think it is only an applicable topic to bloggers! So I am really excited to share what I’ve learned, what I’ve experienced, and tools to help you create a social media plan.
Who will benefit from following this 31-day writing challenge…
-Bloggers
-Small business owners
-Direct sales consultants
-Anyone who wants to learn more about social media
The 31 Days to Create a Social Media Plan will include…
-Why you should have a social media plan
-Pros and cons of various social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and more
-General social media tips
-Creating a brand on social media
-Printables for creating the actual plan
-And more!
And don’t worry, if you have no interest in social media I’ll still be publishing some of the regular stuff here on the blog…Training Thursdays, Be Inspired posts, a few Links I’m Loving and more!
If you are interested in following this challenge sign up with your email address below! You’ll receive one email each day with the Social Media Plan post for the day so that by the end of the month you should be ready to roll out your very own social media plan! Trust me, you’ll want to stay updated with this series! And share this post with any friends, coworkers, family members, or readers who might also be interested in this!
And now onto the giveaway!
I am so excited to be partnering with Krystal over at Krystal’s Kitsch for this awesome giveaway! This past month I have had the opportunity to be a beta tester for Bloggers Get Social, and let me just say, it’s awesome! I loved getting to connect with other bloggers, learn more about business side of blogging, and get questions answered by a blogger with way more experience than me! Seriously y’all…the Google Hangouts alone make this worth it! And here’s the great part, I get to give away one spot in this group for FREE! Enter via the Rafflecopter below!
If you’re participating in the 31 Day Writing Challenge, what is your topic? What questions do you have about social media that you want me to be sure to include during the 31 days?

I’ll be linking up and writing for 31 days! My first thought was there was no way I could write/post for 31 consecutive days on one topic. But I realized when I dug a little deeper there is a foundation from which I write (and live) . . . family. So I’m going to explore who my family is and how they’ve shaped me. Now I’m itching for October to get here to start posting and to start reading other people’s posts.

I can’t wait to read your posts on family!

I have always had writing anxiety, but I have always loved to journal. Blogging was a way to making my writing and public, and in turn has helped me overcome writing anxiety in other formats. I used to dread writing, and now I look forward to it as a way to communicate and build community. That’s my favorite thing about blogging!

I love all the awesome people I get to meet through blogging, plus it gives me a creative outlet and some me-time! And I can’t wait to participate in the social media plan – I would love to get everything more streamlined and not feel so stretched thin between all the different outlets.

I mainly blog about food and recipes, but I blog every other day, not every day. There’s not enough time to create all those dishes, edit pictures, and write a post. But I love the idea of creating a social media plan. I feel that social media is very important in connecting with other bloggers as well as your readers.

We finished FPU by Dave Ramsey in May and have picked and chooses what to implement in our financial planning. But, that changes today. I want to be debt free in the next 4 years….so I need to get going. Stopping by from SITS.

My favorite thing about blogging is getting to express myself with no restrictions. I can write about whatever I want whenever I want. My blog is mine & only mine
JoAnn
Very awesome! I’m interested in reading more. I feel like I spend about 60% of my blogging time on social media – promoting blog posts, networking and such. It feels like so much! I wish I could find a way to be more efficient and get more writing time 🙂
Mardesia @ Keeping Your Cents
My favorite part of blogging is meeting other bloggers. Commiserating with those who have similar stories and learning from those with vastly different ones.

I love blogging because it’s my way of helping others and sharing my thoughts and opinions on various topics. One of my goals is to get more “behind the scenes” plans in place so blogging can still be fun without too much work.

How do you convert likes/followers to paying clients?
jmdenouden@gmail.com
I would start with ads because you’re going to get paid for views (which come from your likes/followers). I would also suggest putting together a media kit and reaching out to brands and businesses to work with them.
Lushi
Too bad, I think this should be over now. Will you let me know if you think of starting this again? Please. I would be very much interested..

I will definitely keep you posted!
