Holiday Hostess Tips
Welcome to Day Nine of the 12 Days of Christmas! This is the time of year when our calendars are filled with holiday parties. Some you get to enjoy as a guest and others might leave you scramble as you prepare to host your friends and family. So today I’m sharing a few holiday hostess tips I’ve learned over the years…

If you’re hosting more than one party, plan similar menus – Having similar menus means a more simplified shopping list and easier prep.
Prep as much as you can ahead of time – Quite a few desserts can be made and frozen ahead of time and veggies can be chopped a few days ahead of time. When you’re planning your menu figure out what can be made ahead of time to say you time the day of the party
Co-host parties – If it works to co-host with someone, go for it! It will divide the workload in half!

I like the idea of using the same menu for multiple parties. I also think it is a good idea to keep track of the menus used at parties… and the shopping lists associated with them. Store the in a “party” file so that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel each year.
