The Blogger Writing Tour: My Writing Process
One thing I have learned from blogging is that regardless of what topic I am writing about, I want this space to be a place that inspires everyone that visits.
So I am super excited during these next few Fridays to introduce you to a few of my favorite bloggers! The first blogger is Kelsey over at The Blonder Side of Life. I first “met” Kelsey through a social media chat and since I am a blonde I was immediately drawn to the title of her blog! Kelsey invited me to participate in the Blogger Writing Tour and I loved getting to hear more about her blog and writing process…so definitely check out Kelsey’s blog! And now I’m excited to share a little bit about my writing process with all of you!
What am I working on?
I have several projects I’m working on right now for my blog…and I’m really excited about them! First, I linked up with a couple of other bloggers to host a Blog Staycation later this month and I am excited to use that time to tackle my blogging to do list. I’m also getting ready to launch a Training Thursdays series with a couple of other fitness bloggers so be on the look out for more fitness related posts on Thursdays. There are two other pretty blog projects I’m working on right now, but I can’t share those with you just yet 😉
How does my work differ from others of its type/genre?
This is a tricky question! I think the biggest difference is that not only will you see fitness related posts on here but you’ll also see posts about cupcakes…I’m all about finding balance!
Why do I write what I do?
I write this blog with the hope that others are inspired. Inspired to do something new, go someplace new, try something out of their comfort zone, or meet new people.
How does your writing process work?
I have a general plan of what posts will be on my blog about a month in advance and then I write when inspiration hits me. So there have been some days where I’m just in writing mood and I’ll sit down and write three or four of my upcoming posts. Then on days when I have some writer’s block I don’t worry about trying to force a post because I already have posts scheduled!
And now here’s my chance to introduce you to another new blogger…Shelly over at Behind Blue Eyes! I first met Shelly this past May at a blog conference and am a little jealous of her because she lives in Chicago…one of my favorite cities! So head over to her blogs to connect with her, find out more about her writing process, and be inspired!
Since I’m introducing you to some of my fave bloggers, I’m curious…who is one of your favorite bloggers?

I generally write whenever I get inspiration..I used to have inspiration for days on end and just write write write and have like 4 or 5 posts a week. These days, if I get two posts a week, I consider that a win : )

Right now I feel inspired for 4-5 posts a week but we’ll see how long that inspiration lasts!

I really admire how much you are able to write. I used to post more frequently, but I stay home wi my kiddos, have a part-time job from home, and am starting a new venture so my blog has suffered… These days I just hope to keep up with my review posts I a. Way that people don’t get sick of them – I need so e self-imposed deadlines to stay on track! Stopping by from SITS

Stopping by from SITS ShareFest. I really enjoyed your post. I must follow a schedule for writing. If I stick to my “writing days” I know I’ll have something for the blog. My favorite days are those when the ideas flow. Don’t we all? Cheers!
jmdenouden@gmail.com
I love those days when the ideas just seem to flow easily…and I try to take advantage of that by knocking out several posts!

Hiya! Love the direction your posts are going in Julie and I’ve always loved the balanced view you’ve had regarding fitness (+ delicious cupcakes).

I’m so envious of your blogging schedule! I’m continually posting things super last minute because I just can never figure out what to write until like the day before!
jmdenouden@gmail.com
The schedule has been really helpful, but it’s not for everyone! Even though you might post last minute, I love reading your blog!

I always enjoy reading about other bloggers writing process so you were the perfect person to tag for this! I can’t wait for the Blog Stay-cation. I am ready to knock a few things off my blog list and just enjoy it for those few days 🙂 You’re the best girl.

Stopping by from SITS. Yes, I’m a week late. I am trying to be more intentional about blogging. Your method of writing is similar to mine. I am at a crossroads right now about merging my blog and business which would be more aligned to my writing process and I believe would provide more inspiration. You have inspired me today. Thanks. Stopping by from SITS.
