Phillies – Citizen’s Bank Park
Fall is here! Pumpkins, apple picking, candy corn, Halloween, Thanksgiving, beautiful weather, sweaters, boots, and the list goes on and on with things to love about fall. One of my favorite things about fall is postseason baseball. That’s right, it’s the time of year when the regular season is winding down, teams are clawing their way way into the playoffs, and October baseball is just about ready to begin! So this seemed like a perfect time to launch my progress on one of the things on my bucket list…visiting all 30 major league ballparks. And it only seems fitting to begin with the Philadelphia Phillies home at Citizen’s Bank Park.
Why start there you ask?
Well for starters, this summer many people counted them out of this year’s postseason race but they are back in the hunt! And it is exciting to watch! So keep your eye on the Phillies because they’re not done yet!
And well because quite honestly, they are my favorite team in baseball…so it seemed like a good place to start!
Citizen’s Bank Park…home of the Phillies!
One of the great bonuses of CBP is the view of downtown Philly…how gorgeous is that?!?
You can of course get a cheesesteak at the park (because how can you be located in Philly and not sell cheesesteaks?!?), but I would recommend trying the Chickie’s and Pete’s crab fries…they are delicious! The park is conveniently located near most of the other Philly sports venues (Sixers, Eagles, Flyers)
As a tribute to the rich history of our city there is a liberty bell in the outfield that rings every time a Phillies player hits a home run…hopefully that can happen this year into October 😉
