San Diego Urban Adventure Quest

One of my favorite ways to explore a city is on foot…whether it’s walking or running…there’s just something about seeing things up close when you’re on foot!  So when I connected with Urban Adventure Quest to try a complimentary quest I couldn’t wait to explore San Diego!

As with most of my posts, some links may be affiliate links. This means at no additional cost to you, I may make a small commission on anything you buy through the link. You don’t pay anything extra, but you help support your favorite blog with something you would have bought anyways.

Before beginning your quest you’ll receive information on where you need to go to get to the starting point of your quest.  Once there you will get your first clue on your phone and the hunt begins!  At each location you’ll need to answer a question (correctly!) to receive the next clue.  Hints are available but using hints will lower your overall score.  So, if you’re playing to win…skip the hints!

On our hunt we explored Old Town, Little Italy, the harbor area and fun little attractions in between.  One of the things I loved the most about this hunt was that I saw parts of the city I would not have found on any lists of top tourist attractions in San Diego.  But they were AMAZING!

A couple of tips for when you go on your own Urban Adventure Quest (which I’d highly recommend!!!)…

*Grab an external battery charger for your phone…you will spend several hours on your phone the entire time which can drain your battery.  And you don’t want to lose the race because your phone died!

*Limit your team size…the Urban Adventure Quest wouldn’t be nearly as fun if you had 15 people on your team.  So keep your team relatively small.  And if you have lots of friends and family that want to participate, you can divide into smaller teams and race!

*Don’t start your race too late in the day because then you risk having attractions be closed and you’ll miss out on some of the experience

*Have fun!  The Urban Adventure Quest is a great way to explore a new city, so have fun while you’re exploring!

What city would you want to explore with a scavenger hunt?
