Creating a Social Media Plan {day twenty-five}

Welcome to Day Twenty-Five of the Write 31 challenge!  If this is your first time stopping by, head over to Day One to get started from the beginning, and now on to Day Twenty-Five…

Yesterday we talked about why you need to be tracking your Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and today we are going to cover what exactly that means and I’m going to have you do a little bit of research before we put together your goals with a printable. Each of the platforms below has questions about various KPI’s so jot down your answers so we can use these for goal setting and tracking

Let’s start with the Big 4 Social Media Platforms…

Facebook – How many followers do you have? What percent of your followers are engaged? If you’re not sure how to find out this percent, the pictures below should help you out!  First click on the number of likes you have and then use the formula in the second picture…

Pinterest – How many followers do you have? What percent of your blog traffic comes from Pinterest? You should have some type of analytics installed on your blog, such as Google Analytics, to track this info

Twitter – How many followers do you have? What is your average Retweet and Mention reach in a week? I would recommend using SumAll to access this information.

Instagram– How many followers do you have? Look at your last five pictures and get the average number of likes and comments per photo.

Other social media platforms…

Jot down the number of followers you have on any other social media platforms you use and then figure out your average user engagement…either using the statistics they give you or by calculating averages (like we did above for Instagram)

Keep these numbers handy because tomorrow we’ll be using them to set goals!

If you have any questions about this, please feel free to leave them in the comments below or email me at girlonthemoveblog01 {at} gmail {dot} com

Did any of your numbers surprise you or were they what you expected?
