Creating a Social Media Plan {day twenty-nine}
Welcome to Day Twenty-Nine of the Write 31 challenge! If this is your first time stopping by, head over to Day One to get started from the beginning, and now on to Day Twenty-Nine…
Today is the day many of you have been waiting for this month…the day when we put everything together! The first thing you’ll want to do is print out the Master Printable and then we’ll walk through each of the areas of the printable.
Vision – Head back to Day 4 to find your vision statement. Since it’s been almost a whole month since you wrote this take a few minutes to think about what you’ve learned this month and see if there are any changes you want to make before you write your vision statement on the master printable.
Goals – What are your top three social media goals right now? These could be related to a specific platform, address your general social media presence or be general goals related to your social media vision.
Platform #1-4 – Use this space to record one of your goals for each of your platforms and a few of the action steps you’re going to take in the next month to help you reach your goal. As you are working on these platforms you can also go back to your platform specific printables for more ideas of what you wanted to try.
Brand– Head back to Day 5 to find your notes and thoughts on your brand. Use this space to write down the top words or phrases related to your brand. I have found it really helpful to have those in a prominent place on my blog so that when I’m making social media decisions I am reminded of what I want to be about with my brand.
KPI’s – Head back to Day 25 to look over the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and pick out the couple you really want to focus on for the next 30 days. Jot those down on the master printable but during the 30 days keep an eye on your KPI printable so you can see where you’re in the other areas as well.
Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Tasks – Use this space to jot down a few things you want to focus on daily and weekly for the next 30 days. Also write down anything you want to make sure you accomplish at least once during the month. If you’re not sure what you want to complete daily, weekly, and monthly head back to the platform specific posts (head over to Day 1 to see the master list of posts) and look through your various printables.
Quote – I think it’s important to set goals, track your progress and be aware of social media trends, but the most important thing to remember is that social media is about being social and building relationships…so make that a priority!
