Creating a Social Media Plan {day four}
Welcome to Day Four of the Write 31 challenge! If this is your first time stopping by, head over to Day One to get started from the beginning, and now on to Day Four…

We’re going to start with setting a Vision for your social media use. Having a vision can help you determine what platforms you use, what you want to post, how you interact, and give you a big picture idea of why you’re spending time on social media.
Please note that creating a vision statement represents only part of one post during this 31-day challenge…we’re going to spend three days talking about Twitter. That means that creating a “perfect” vision statement is not paramount to creating an awesome social media plan….so don’t stress over this part!
And now on to your first printable! This printable is designed to help you articulate your vision statement. So here’s what you need to do…
1.Download the SM Finding a Vision Printable
2.Take some time to brainstorm the first things that come to mind (don’t discriminate the ideas…write them all down and we’ll sort through them later!) when you hear these questions…
-What do you ultimately want to achieve with your social media use?
-What would be the ideal result of your social media use?
-One year from now what do you hope has happened because of your social media activity?
Once you’ve brainstormed ideas look back over all of your ideas and consider this…

Here’s mine: Girl on the Move (GOTM) social media accounts exist as a place for me to connect with others so I can share what inspires me, be inspired by others, and encourage each one of us to step out of our comfort zone and dream a little bigger today than we did yesterday.
Your vision statement is going to look different than mine…maybe you want to be a place for moms to connect, or a place for people to be educated and share ideas about eating healthy…your vision statement should fit you, your blog, your product, your business, or your organization.
Congrats on writing a vision statement! You’ll want to save this printable for later on in the month when we sit down and put all of the pieces together…and as you go through this process you might find yourself tweaking your vision statement…and that’s okay!
If you have any questions about this, please feel free to leave them in the comments below or email me at girlonthemoveblog01 {at} gmail {dot} com
What is your vision? Or in other words, your ultimate social media goal?

Behold, the power of social media ;). I’m here because @kikimojo said she loved your posts about social media on twitter. Now, to go back and look at the rest of the posts in your series (and, of course, whip out my vision statement in between writing my post for tomorrow’s #write31days challenge 😉 ).

My goal ended up being much deeper than I expected but when I really looked at it my goal is to build a community of people who are passionate about saving money without having to sacrifice their lifestyle or things they enjoy doing! I love this series and since I’m a day behind I’m going to pop over to day 5 and get going!

It’s amazing how deep it can go when you really stop to think and about it, and not just in a casual way

Wow talk about deep. Thanks Julie! I think I have goals but ultimately, I wish to inspire those not only through my tales of Pinterest and twins but in hopes of revealing my story to help those who are experiencing similar circumstances that I went through.
Love that I feel like I finally have a vision and not just an “idea.”

I just stumbled upon your site and I really love this series! I’ve gotten so overwhelmed that I’ve fallen embarrassingly behind on mine, but your series is helping me regain some focus and want to get back on track. Can’t wait to keep following. 🙂
