Creating a Social Media Plan {day two}
Welcome to Day Two of the Write 31 challenge! If this is your first time stopping by, head over to Day One to get started from the beginning…and now on to Day Two…

There are hundreds more quotes I can share with you about why planning is incredibly beneficial, but I’ll spare you the 1000+ word post and instead let you browse Pinterest if you’re not convinced about why you should create a plan 😉
And now that you’re convinced that planning is better than not planning, let’s take a look at why you need a plan specifically for social media…
-When Americans get on the Internet, they spend more time on social media than anywhere else…including email! (Business Insider)
-98% of 18-24-year-olds already use social media and the average person spends more than 15 hours a month on Facebook (Statistic Brain)
The bottom line is people are very active on social media and if you want people to see your blog, product, business, brand, etc…you need to be sharing it on social media. But if you don’t have a social media plan you’re going to end up wasting countless hours ineffectively sharing. Let’s work together to build a social media plan so you can effectively use your social media time, increase engagement, and turn your social media time into dollars!
If you have any questions about this, please feel free to leave them in the comments below or email me at girlonthemoveblog01 {at} gmail {dot} com
I’d also love to have you share this series with your friends and comment below to let me know what your social media plan is for…a blog, direct-sales business, brick-and-mortar business, or something else?

Do you have any templates you use to help plan or am I getting ahead of myself here?

This is such a cool series, and I can’t wait to participate in the next 29 days. Even if people know how to do it all on their blog, if you keep an open mind you can always learn from someone else. I will say that since I started sitting down and really trying to iron out my blog plan in general, not just social media, things came a lot easier for me. Thanks for sharing! -Holly

I want to make two – one for my blog and one for Thirty One. They both need a little love right now after a two month break! 🙂

I’m actually hoping to use this for both my blog AND my business. They’re both currently sharing a space on one site until I have enough money to create a business only site but growing both and being able to make money from both would be dreamy!

I never stop learning. I am excited for this series and eager to learn from a more experienced blogger.

I do some social media consulting, but there is always more to learn and ideas to gain from others.

I hope you are able to learn something new with the series!

Yes, social media is huge. I would like to know where I have the most impact. I know this can be done in Klout but are there any other ways to assess it? I’m probably getting ahead of myself, hey?
Thanks for doing this series.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Thank you so much for this! As a FT working mom of two, I think that organization is what holds me back from really giving my blog the attention it deserves…This series is going to be very helpful for me:)

Yay, glad you found this! I am a big believer in organization and planning because I think they increase productivity and efficiency!

I need a social media plan for my blog :). I’m actually a good strategic planner–but I’m not sure that I’m using the right venues of social media right now!
jmdenouden@gmail.com
I hope this series helps you put together a plan and figure out which venues are best for you!
