Surfs Up Vox Box

Considering the fact I live in Surf City, USA, the Surfs Up Vox Box was a perfect fit for me!  And I loved my goodies inside!  Let’s take a peek… Opening Vox Box | Girl on the Move Blog

Now let’s talk about all of these goodies!

Jamba Juice – Y’all when I lived in Philadelphia this is one of the things I missed most about California (other than my family and the weather of course!)  There was only one Jamba Juice within a 50 mile radius.  And it was at the airport!  Hmmmm…maybe that’s why I traveled so much when I lived there.  Anyways, I sure wish Jamba Juice had these at-home options then because it would have saved me a lot of money in airfare!  I was super excited to sample these smoothies and I got both the Green Fusion (green apple, mango, pineapple, kiwi, banana, broccoli, and spinach) and Orange Dream Machine (peaches, orange and vanilla flavored non-fat yogurt)…and both were delicious!  Can’t pick a favorite but there are definitely a few others I need to try!

Sinful Colors – Back when I was in college and a little bit unaware of the fact that I should probably be doing a better job of saving for the future I got weekly manicures and pedicures…what?!?  Now that I’m a real grown up there are other things I would rather spend my money on or save up for, so although I still go and get them occasionally, I definitely do more at-home pedicures and manicures these days!  But one of the things I loved about the nail salon was the endless selection of colors so I was happy to be able to try out a new color here at home.  And I loved it!  I am really a girl that loves anything in the blue family so this color was perfect for me…and so summery! First Aid Shot Therapy – I’ve shared about this briefly before here on the blog, but I am prone to get really bad headaches…probably more like migraines.  I have found that if I stick to a clean eating diet (no carbs or dairy) I can really limit the number of headaches that I get.  However, I recently went away for almost three weeks and let me tell you…it is not easy to eat clean when you travel like that!  So I packed this little shot therapy with me in case I got a headache while I was away.  And guess what?  It worked.  And fast!  My preferred method when it comes to these headaches is avoiding them all together, but now if I get them I know what my new solution is…First Aid Shot Therapy. CoverGirl Bombshell Mascara– I’ve had quite a few friends over the years post on Facebook or Twitter asking everyone for advice on their favorite mascara.  I’ve never really had an answer because although I always use mascara I don’t think it’s ever been anything special.  So I was excited to try something new when the Vox Box came.  And I have to say, I really liked it!  It’s a two step process but  super easy…which is a must for me when it comes to make-up!  Here’s the thing I learned though…I am never going to be a beauty blogger because I have ZERO clue how to take good pictures of my make-up…so y’all don’t get to see me in my Bombshell look :/ CoverGirl Bombshell | Girl on the Move

Hawaiian Tropic After Sun – I love lotion.  Probably because I really really dislike dry skin.  So I was excited to try out this Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Lotion but I have to admit I don’t spend a ton of time in the sun.  It’s probably odd seeing as how I live a mile from the beach and I have a pool, but here’s the thing…I have incredibly fair and sensitive skin.  In my younger (read dumber) days, I thought I could get tan skin and really worked out trying to get tan but the unfortunate reality is this…my skin is either pretty pale or it’s red.  And I prefer pale.  So I limit my time in the sun. I’m sure my dermatologist appreciates this.  So I can say that I really liked this as a lotion, but I can’t really talk about it’s after sun effectiveness :/ Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Lotion | Girl on the Move Blog

What is your favorite smoothie?  What’s your favorite nail polish color?  Do you have any other headache remedies you can recommend?

I received this product free of charge.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Love Vox Boxes! I hate to admit it but I have never been to a Jamba Juice! They sound awesome though. I have no idea how to photograph make-up either, I am just getting the basics of food photography! Have a great weekend!

I came across your blog while casting my votes for the Blog Awards 2014 and just checked out this post! I’ve never heard of a Vox Box, but I’m definitely going to look into it! I have the same issues with dairy/gluten, and I know your pain when it comes to keeping up with it while traveling. That shot therapy product looks like it may be a good fix!

Vox Boxes are pretty awesome! Traveling is probably the most difficult to stay on top of it…and the holidays!

This is a great Vox Box!…probably one of the best ones I’ve seen so far.

Jamba Juice – Funny, when I lived in San Diego, I frequensted Jamba Juice far too often…so often that one of the workers knew what I was going to order before I ever ordered. Although, I’ve since switched up my drink from the Caribbean Passion to the Kale Orange Power; I’m most excited to see they now have a huge selection of freshly squeezed juices.

Nail Polish – I always lean towards coral or pink colors. At least for my toes. I used to be a french manicure kind of girl for my nails, but now, I rarely get a manicure. I
